Christmas 2009 - Singapore

Better stop on the Japan blog for a while and show some Xmas love~
Me and my hubby + family spent our Christmas in Singapore this year. It was a short trip, just 2 days to be exact. We didn't really got the chance to shop much due to our TIGHT schedule and worst of all, I can only take pictures using my "compact camera". After seeing the effect of what my dads' DSLR camera can do.. aduuuiii... I shud really save up and get myself a DSLR!!

*mahal neh itu abalone..*
Upon arrival in Singapore, we headed straight for its famous "bak kut teh". This was my first time having Singapore "bak kut teh" so I was really looking forward for it ;o)

hmm.. the Singapore "bak kut teh" really tasted very different than the ones back home (Miri). It even LOOK different cause the colour of the soup we have back home is dark brown and this one is colour-less!! I prefer the one back home MUCH MUCH more lorr..
And there is just something I don't understand about their tea cup.. WHY SO SMALLL????!!!!

After finishing our late-lunch, off we head for a little sight seeing. Friends of the family, Dennis + David brought us around during our short trip this time - thanks for the great hospitality ;o)

Our first stop was a Mount Faber. Nice view but it was pretty hot that time so we decided it's better if we head to someplace cooler - that is when the "underwater world" in Sentosa idea pops out.

Den "bam"! We're at Sentosa!
It was SOOOOoooOOOOOooo damn crowded that day! Maybe it's because of the holiday season.. OMG!! we can barely walk properly there. After jamming/Q-ing for 1 hour, we decided it was better for us to just check in the hotel and get some rest ;o( came all the way here just to smell the human sweat nia.. tsk tsk tsk..
Bayview Hotel - at bencoolen
Crash straight on bed upon check in. Don't even feel like showering (altho in the end I did la..). I don't really like coming to Singapore during Xmas cause the whole city is filled with people - had my experience liao 3 years ago ;o(
After freshen up, off we head to Orchard Road for some sight seeing of the Xmas decoration! The entire road was close for Xmas parade and YES!! IT WAS PACKED WITH HUMAN BEINGSSSS!!

... cute little Singaporean Santa helpers...
But my hubby thinks I look much better, LOL!!
I shud have brought my Santa-helper costume over and fight with them, MALAYSIA BOLEH bahhh!! ;oP
Two thumbs up for the decoration.
We did tried to do some shopping back then BUT the place was just too packed. There were sales everywhere and also people everywhere. Feeling tired and all, we decided might as well we start our shopping the next day.

Pretty women~~ walking down the street~~
The tired us..
(taken using a DSLR camera - see the difference??)
ION Mall Taxi area
After walking around the streets for 2hours, we decided to head back to the hotel and rest.

The brothers, Dennis + David picked us up at the hotel the next day at 12pm for lunch. He said the place we're going is quite famous and he had to make early reservation to make sure there are seats available for all of us.
And this was it.. "Beng Hiang Restaurant"

Here comes the roast pig~~
THIS IS REALLY DAMN GOOOODDDDD!!!!
(try to ignore the tail)

..... and it's gone~ in 60 seconds!! (including the tail!!!)

*burp*
That was nice. After a full brunch.. it's finally SHOPPPPPING TIMEEEE!!!!!

*Juicy Couture Perfume Set*
... adding another member into my Perfume Collection. I shud stop now until I finish using up all the frangrances I have in hand ;o(

Anyway, this is the only thing I bought back from Singapore. Unbelieveable? Believe it! LOL!! We only had like 2 hours to shop - accompany hubby in the bookstore took us almost 1hr liao.. sigh.. oh well, at least I didn't get to spend much ;o)

This is the reason why we only had 2hrs to shop - crow shooting.
Dennis was all pumped up for this shooting session... and so was my husband ;o(

Mother in law + Hubby
It has been a while since he did some shooting liao.. so I don't blame him for being all excited and such. As for me, I was only snapping pictures and asking questions around cause I don't even wanna think about trying "shooting"

Father in law with his engine
Only my brother in law + wife + BB Ryan insisted not to join the shooting session cause they prefer to continue shopping back there.. sigh.. if I knew it was gonna take this long, I would have accept their offer to stayed back with them ;oP

not bad~ not bad~
managed to shoot the target on 1st try!
guess my hubby still has it.. ehh sehh..
I bet I couldn't even hit ONE target using 100 bullets ;oP

After finishing the shooting session, it was time to get back to the hotel and freshen up for our dinner that night. But before we head off............

of course we need to snap a pic of me laaarrrr..
eh, real gun ok!! hahahaha..
seems like the rumors were not true lehh, I don't look like Angelina Jolie at all - maybe I shud had try doing some of her killer poses, that would have helped a lot ;oP

No Signboard Seafood
I'm sure ANY Singaporean knows this place.
One of the famous seafood restaurant in Singapore.
The shop is called "NO SIGNBOARD SEAFOOD" is because when the owner first started up the business, he doesn't have enough capital to even set up a signboard for his restaurant - time passes and the restaurant grew famous and the owner decided to just use back the idea to named his restaurant that way ;o)

I was starving liao.. so watever it is, just bring it ON!!!

sowwie.. I stop snapping pictures of the food on the 4th dish liao cause I had to focus eating..
You shud definitely drop by this place whenever ur visiting Singapore, u won't regret it!!

even those famous ppl also came here for the seafood.. haii~~ wonder why the ppl there didn't ask for my picture to be taken with them ;o(
After finishing our dinner, it was already 9pm++. Finally got the call I've been waiting for, Ms. Kelly Tay - had a quick catching up session with her and her bf (tiam.. forgot his name again) at Kopitiam.

I didn't even felt I was in Singapore.. haha..
We're using the AirAsia direct flight back to Miri on 27th December morning.

Hubby & I
It's a 2 hours flight back so with nothing to do, might as well do some cam-whoring!
Baby Ryan (sleeping)
I wasn't the ONLY one snapping pictures wit my camera.. orang ada DSLR, aku baru compact camera, mana berani mau fight~

Tuna Sandwich

Kon-lo Mee
It actually tasted not that bad!!

Fried Rice (Vegetarian)
The rice was over-cooked for this one.

This is highly recommanded!
