Finally, an update!!

It has been ages since my last update (yes, I know, I know - being pregnant really makes a person moody to even blog) but anyway, I'm BACK!!

I guess it's only right for me to kick back with a post about my child's birth process right? All I'm gonna say is that I enjoyed it very much and well, I think I'm gonna wait for at least another 2-3 years till I'm ready to experience it again.

I started my maternity leave on 9th Sept 2010 as I thought of just relaxing and chilling out while waiting for the birth of my little angel which EDD was still 2 weeks away. Anyway, it was Hari Raya the next day (10th Sept) and I was already starting to have a LITTLE bit of contraction but I still, I ignored it cause it was Hari Raya leh.. how can I miss out all those yummy food!! haha.. so I end up going raya-ing with my mom and her friends. We went to at least 5 houses for food hunting that day and man, I was STUFFED by the end of the day!!

As night time rolls in, my so called LIGHT contraction started to get a bit HEAVIER. My mom insisted me to "check-in" to the hospital right away since I'm even starting to have discharge. It was about 9pm and I went in Columbia Hospital (by force), the nurse came in to check on me telling me that the doctor will only be available the next morning (cause he was busy raya-ing as well) and unless I'm really about to give birth or else he'll only see me the next day ;o( I asked my mom to spend the night with me in the hospital since my husband can't cause he was terribly sick (yes! during such important day of our lifes) I couldn't sleep whole night cause my contraction was really starting to give me pressure liao..

The next morning (11th Sept), I was really looking terrible cause I didn't slept whole night and I barely have the energy to move around anymore with the pain hanging around. My doctor finally came in and check on me at 11am telling me that I've only open for 2cm and it's still a VERY long way to go (after all that pain) and he asked me whether I wanna get this over with faster and without hesistation, who would say NO at that time right?

So, he checked me into the labor room and induced me - before got induced I already took the epidural injection cause I really can't bare to undergo anymore pain that is worst than it already is at that time.

They induced me at 1pm in the delivery room. I waited and waited until it's about 5pm and finally the doctor came in and tell me "it's time". At that time, I was dead sleepy and I feel nauses due to the epidural - before birth, I even vomited a full bag. About 5.20pm, I started my "pushing" and the baby was safely delivered on 5.35pm by natural birth. I didn't had to undergo any surgical or equipment help as the baby was in the perfect position for birth and just the right size to squeeze out of me without even needing me to cut.

At 5.35pm, there she was.. crying out loud.. the nurses was busy sucking and cleaning her up before handing her over to me. Her cute little pair of eyes was already widely open when the nurse handed her over to me. The cutest little thing I've ever seen in my entire life.. and she is all MINE!!
